Hello, this is John Harrigan with a secret to immortality podcast.

I'm a Qigong master and teach this secret to immortality, a method for living your highest and best potential with joy, freedom, and immortal life on earth.

This is not nothing new or original.

It's in the teachings of Christ, some Kabbala, Taoism, and others.

We suggest that in a healthy body and mind, there is no death, that death is something we have created over time by our thoughts, our speech, and our behavior, especially by killing it each other, by killing and cons killing and consuming other things biologically.

With love in our hearts, our brain, and all the cells in our bod , we'll have a different life, but it takes some work as with anything you build or develop.

We have thoughts of death, actions of death that are kind of obvious, but a lot of this is not obvious.

It's unconscious.

It's habitual.

We are habitually killing things, eating them, habitually killing each other.

We have created a world of predation where we imagine that we're born into this.

It's out of our control, kind of like getting into a ride at Disney World.

You know, they strap you in and then away you go on a crazy wild and sometimes scary ride that Disney created, not you.

You're just a helpless passenger in the seat.

And a lot of us feel this way about creation that we're just helpless passengers , making the best of things, but ultimately, we are subject to disease, hardship, and death and all the terrible things that go along with that.

And we are, but with a secret to immmortality and other teachings that I've just mentioned, we find that we're creating this whole thing kind of like a holodeck experience where we we forget who we are, that we're creating our experience on Earth .

And this isn't magical thinking.

If you think about your life and even comparing yourself to other people, who has the better lives.

You know, in general , people with pretty good lives going on, they maybe have some good fortune.

They they have their health, but they've worked hard at having the success they have.

If they have good relationships, they weren't just lucky finding a good partner .

They worked at it.

They worked at developing themselves, knowing who they were, finding a good partner, and then having excellent partner relationships, like listening to your partner, like being kind, loving, and supportive .

There is work involved.

There's awareness involved.

But think of your day.

Did someone get you out of bed and tie your shoes?

No.

Did someone walk you to work and do your work for you today on your job?


No.


You did it yourself and you get paid for that.


That's what a job is.


So you're doing things to feed yourself , to house yourself, to keep yourself safe.


You're actively creating your day all day long.


And some people blame other people for maybe their lack of success.


Some people blame other people for how they're feeling and how they're thinking.


What we suggest in any good personal development program, what we suggest is that you're creating your state of mind .


And it may seem impossible to get out of that state of mind and you may have some medical problems that need to be tended to.


And it is more difficult for some people than others neurologically, biologically, to behave well.


But most of us are the same.


There's something called the bell curve .


Most of the members of a species are about the same height, even if you've been watching the NBA or the WNBA, most people aren't that big and tall.


Most of us are about the same height.


We have similar thoughts, similar feelings, similar ambitionitions, and fears .


On the end of the bell curve, people can be very different in a better direction or a much worse and much less fortunate direction.


My point, we're all the same, very much the same.


That's what makes a species what it is .


The idea that, well, everyone's different.


Everyone has a different way of doing this and that, completely untrue.


If that were true, no medications would work because everybody would be different.


If that were true, no advertising would work because everybody would want to buy something different.


We're all the same.


We're all very similar except for a small outlier or minority.


What does that mean?


It means we're creating our reality.


We're creating our health.


We're creating our mindset, happy, sad, our in between .


And we take that one step farther, not really farther, but we try to make it obvious and more aware that the creation we have and all the rules in it , we've done that for ourselves if we stopped killing each other and lived with peace, harmony, and love, what is the potential of that?


What is the possibility of that?


And you may think, well, yeah, that's great, John, but nobody's ever going to act like that .


And surely that's an understandable reaction.


But it's not the reality.


When we start changing our behavior, our thoughts, and especially our attitudes about death, looking at the fact that we're creating this world of disease, hardship, and calamity, when we look at the fact that we're we're really designing how the laws of physics act upon us, we're really designing our interior biology to be a disease-ridden, troublesome thing, and we can change it if we understand that we're creating it.


When we understand that we're creating death as a reality in nature, when we understand that we're literally giving nature instructions of how to behave and how to treat us when we're literally giving our body instructions of how to behave and treat us, when we understand that we're at the controls of this vehicle and we're creating everything we have as we slowly awaken to this , we can get somewhere with a secret to immortality.


And if you've been to therapy or understand what counseling is, I used to be a a counselor.


I have one degree in psychology, a lot of sciences.


I took all the pre-med sciences, got A's, and then some of them, the highest grades in the class.


I didn't want to be a doctor. .


I just happened to love science and I'm very curious.


What I wanted to do was exactly what I'm doing this minute talking to you, is explaining how to be healthy, how to be happy, how to have a life that you can endure when it's difficult and that you can really enjoy and trend in a good way.


Most of us are not under siege.


You know, there are, as I speak now, there are some war situations in the world, and there always are, some terrible situations where people really are under siege and and that's a tough one.


But even in those situations, if you can endure how you control your thoughts and your mind dealing with all that is very helpful.


And when that trauma and hardship comes to an end, whether you're in a wartime situation or just having problems with your family , eventually all these things come to an end.


Usually they do.


And the progress you make while you're enduring hardship can really pass off when that hardship starts to ease up.


Because when there's hardship, challenge, and difficulty, when we go through that with this secret to immortality, when we go through that, with some resilience , practicing strengths, practicing good thinking, when we go through that, we're much, much stronger because when we practice good behaviors in difficult times, we're really building up that muscle of thinking good, of being well.


It may not be a apparent , but challenge and hardship is the biggest opportunity we have to get somewhere in life, because what we can build during crisis can be an enormous within ourselves, our spirit, our mind, our abilities, our secret immortality work, where we turn our back on believing in death, when we turn our back on facilitating death and learning to pronounce words, you try talking into a podcast microphone for 30 minutes.


When we practice something productive, healthy, and strong, we get healthy results, it's exactly like going to a gym .


A lot of people, and I study that industry just because I study a lot of businesses.


They interest me.


That's one of the things that interests me in life.


Most people that join gyms and health centers never, ever go to them.


It's just an idea that they like.


Then the people that join and actually do go, they just go briefly and never go again.


So how does a gym or health center make money ?


You know, even though it's crowded when you go, most of their thousands of members are never showing up and that Jim is making their money by just signing up new people and holding on to those people that never get around to ending their memberships.


What's the point of this story?


The point is if you want your life to improve, if you want your psychology, your wellness, if you want death in your body and mind to dissipate in something better to take over, there is work for you to do .


Nothing good on this planet comes comes for free.


It's like we're all in a big gymnasium, a big health club.


You can join the health club.


If you don't go, you aren't going to build lean muscle mass.


You can go to the health club, but if you just sit around and watch people work out , you aren't going to build lean muscle mass.


You have to go up to the weights and squat down or whatever weights you're lifting or pulling on, you have to lift weights to gain lean muscle mass .


And even if you're experienced at it, there's always some burn involved, some pain if you're building muscle, spiritual development, personal development, this secret to immortality development is exactly the same.


It takes work.


If you're not willing to work, if you're not motivated to improve yourself in your life , I'm telling you that secret to immortality is not for you.


It's not some instant button secret handshake or miraculous exercise where you are magically taken away and reforformed as a superhero .


Nothing about this secret to immortality is becoming a secret secret.


Yeah, nothing about this secret to immortality is about becoming a superhero, just the opposite.


A superhero from the excuse me, a superhero, the concept, the idea of a superhero, is simply a trauma inspired image, a trauma- inspired idea .


People that have been hurt and traumatized imagine, well, if I was a superhero, I could kick everybody's ass and all would be okay.


Not true, and there are no superheroes and have never been any.


They're traumatized people that create that.


So the secret to immortality is not about becoming a superhero.


It's about joining the world, joining a higher consciousness.


Your faith, God, Nirvana, Brahman, higher power in the 12 Steps.


The secret to immortality is about getting into that God consciousness as your own consciousness , but then focusing and funneling that into every cell of your body, understanding that your mind is your body , that your feelings, your thoughts, that everything you do has an effect on what you're doing, what you're thinking, and how your body is behaving.


Activate your eternal self with thoughts of being an eternal being.


If you were an eternal being, if you were an immortal soul on this planet, and I'm suggesting you are, what would that feel like?


Pretend or imagine that's the first step?


If you were this et eternal being , who would you be?


Who is your higher self?


Can you imagine it?


Have you thought about it?


I suggest everyone's higher self is unique.


We're unique individuals, to be sure, even though we're the same as species.


No one else is living your life and that's your opportunity.


No one else is operating your body in your brain, though it may seem like it at times.


We are all, I suggest, eternal beings in a body.


This secret to immortality is understanding that, learning to express that, get comfortable with that, and live that into your life .


There are so many ways we passively accept death.


The Disney ruled con of the circle of life, there's nothing great about the circle of life if you've ever helped a loved one die slowly and painfully of cancer or some other debilitating disease.


There's no nice thing in the circle of life.


We can run that in front of children to kind of dupe them into not yet fully understanding where they are or what's going on .


No innocent child is born into this world expecting death mayhem, killing, hardship and brutality, but that's what we end up with.


It affects our bodies.


It affects our brains.


It affects our relationships and everything else.


If you aren't involved actively in ending death on this planet, you're part and parcel of the problem, we need to think about death and dying.


How do you passively accept death?


Just automatically, well, you have to, even people, I think, in hospices, well, you have to accept your death.


I understand that to some extent , but why don't you just accept your death after you die?


While we're here, let's do something not to die instead, not passively accepting death as an automatic fixture of living that we have no control over .


I think all of us kind of get that if we don't destroy the world and humanity, if we don't destroy it all, yeah, eventually we'll slowly work our way into longer living bodies.


But what's the point of that if we aren't developing spiritually, mentally and emotionally, along with those living bodies, I'm suggesting that if we truly develop as our timeless self, as our perfect souls on Earth , our bodies come along, transforming, and change for the ride.


Think of if you're in the west, think of the life of Christ or teachings of Kabah.


Excuse me for that.


I I haven't studied tism.


I've practiced Chigong for immortality with a Chigong grandmaster from China.


He was trained from a young age with mentors in the mountains of China.


Those mentors immortals, Daoist immortals, if you can believe that and you don't have to.


But these stories go through life and even creation stories of , you know, once we were in the Garden of Eden, everything was cool.


U until what?


Until maybe we turned on ourselves in this garden.


We turned away from our grand and perfect souls.


We turned away from our higher power, God connection .


We turned away into selfishness, fear, grasping, greed.


And when we turned away from that perfect garden, we created hell on earth and death arose.


That is the literal story.


And I'm suggesting to you that in a way, it's actually true, that when we started to kill somehow, some way, maybe it's a unic, maybe it's a unicellular animal.


It's hard to pronounce it.


Unicellular animal.


Or maybe even before that, it's just kind of loose RNA trying to replicate itself , competing for resources.


But whatever, competition started, predation began, and how on earth evolved, and that's where we are today..


And we can reverse the whole darn thing with this secret immortality .
