Hello, this is John Harrigan, host of the secret Immortality podcast where we LIVE as our eternal soul on earth, reversing the habits of death to lasting life.
Today's meditation will get you grounded with an easy Qi Gong technique. We then focus on three simple, but powerful words to transform our day and act as a blessing on earth!
Before we begin the meditation, let’s consider these three words together:
- Gracious
- Kind
- Calm
... that's gracious, kind and calm.
Try the following words for yourself, repeated throughout the day:
I'm gracious, kind, and calm ... with infinite life, as I live this day.
I m gracious, kind and calm, a blessing to the world.
Practice these words, and let them change your mindset. Over time, your default state of mind will transform to a more happy and stable condition.
As with anything we practice over time, results will come!

Hello, this is John Harrigan, host of the Secret to Immortality podcast, where we live as our eternal soul on earth and reverse the habits of death to lasting life with freedom, joy, and happiness.
In today's meditation, we'll get grounded with an easy Chigong technique, then focus on three simple but powerful words to transform our day to a blessing on earth.
Before wegin the meditation, let's consider these three words together, gracious, kind, and calm.
That's gracious, kind, and calm.
Think about what each word means.
Gracious.
What is gracious?
What does that mean to you?
Gracious, graciousness.
Perhaps that means well mannered, perhaps that means not rude, not insulting, not difficult.
Perhaps gracious means not being edgy with our voice, but being relaxed in a bit compassionate, having grace, Gracious, kind, and calm, Gracious, kind, and calm.
You'll carry these three words with you today, repeating them throughout the day to give yourself peace, to give yourself kindness calm , and graciousness.
So the three words again, are gracious, kind, and calm.
Think about being gracious and take that word into your heart.
It's a feeling graciousness.
Gracious, kind, and calm.
And the word kind.
What does that mean to you?
Kindness is perhaps a way of thinking and a way of feeling, thinking and feeling with one action.
Where kindness.
Kindness is a a suppleness.
Kindness is a fluid.
Kindness is not rigid.
Not afraid, but relaxed and kind with all the world, kind, with a greater power that has kindness for us in our heart, in calm.
We all know what calm is, so let's invoke that calm, allow our bodies, our mind, our hearts, all of us, from head to toe to be calm, the words gracious, kind and calm .
Gracious, kind and calm.
Those are the three words we'll be focusing on in today's meditation.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Let's meditate now and don't try to keep thinking of the words gracious, kind and calm.
I'll say them when you need to think of them.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Let's begin the meditation.
In a sitting position and relaxed, have your feet flat on the floor floor, and that's very important, not sitting with your legs crossed, but this is a chigong exercise, and all of the chigong that I'm teaching you is about being balanced in touch, and connected within yourself, with the world, with the universe.
So we're sitting in a position where we can flow, where we can be grounded, and then this with our feet flat on the floor, our feet flat on the floor.
Relax.
Put your arms on your legs, a little bit back from your knees.
But don't worry about having things exactly right because there is no exact right anything in meditation or chigong that I teach , the most important thing is that you're relaxed and calm and not demanding to be perfect or to get things right.
Because that creates attention in us that defeats the entire exercise .
Relax, get calm in a sitting position with feet flat flat on the floor.
Gently, everything we do in this exercise is gentle, gently, gently close your eyes. Gentleness, calm.
We're in the shade, we're at night, we're relaxed.
Everything is at peace, and still eyes closed, feet flat on the floor.
You relaxed, pay a little attention to your breathing, and don't control how you breathe.
Again, that creates tension when you try to control anything.
Just focus a little on your breath.
I assure you, your body knows how to breathe.
And as we focus on our breath, allow your breath to simply relax and don't control it.
Just focus gently on your breath.
Pay attention in a relaxed manner to how you in breathe and how you exhale or not controlling anything.
We're not forcing ourselves to have deep, long and lasting breaths.
We're not focused, for focusing on breathing techniesniques.
We're doing exactly the opposite so we can get to a deep and relaxed place.
In and out, your body gently relaxing, your mind, getting at ease, your body relaxing. All of who you are relaxing into a gentle, peaceful place, a gentle, peaceful place where we can easily feel graciousness, kindness calm, gracious, kind, and calm, relaxed with every breath, never controlling how we breathe, not controlling a thing.
Our body knows how to breathe and it will.
We just get out of the way and enjoy every breath.
Gracious, kind and calm throughout the day.
Gracious, kind and calm.
And now for a little Chigong technique.
Our eyes are closed , our feet are flat on the floor.
Without stressing, just just imagine that you can see through your closed eyelids down to the tip of your nose, and from your nose, see a r ruby red arc coming out three to four inches and curving back into your heart.
A ruby red arc from from your nose to your heart.
Ruby red arc. Eyelids closed, but visualize you from the tip of your neck nose, you see a ruby red arc, going out three to four inches and curving into your heart.
A ruby red arc.
There is no meaning to this.
Our mind is at rest.
Your mind may be going from here to there.
That's perfectly natural.
Don't try to control it.
Don't try to stop too much, what your mind is doing.
It's perfectly okay.
As human beings, our minds are designed to be alert and vigilant, to keep us safe, to be alert and vigilant, to find food , to be alert and vigilant, but we're relaxing a bit.
We can't be alert and vigilant all day long.
So we're relaxing a bit, eyes to nose with eyelids shut. Visualize, eyes to nose to the tip of your nose.
Nose to heart in a ruby red arc.
Eyes to nose.
Nose to heart in a ruby red arc.
Eyes to nose, nose to heart, in a ruby red arc.
Gracious, kind, and calm.
Our body is gracious, kind and calm.
Our soul is gracious, kind and calm.
The essence of who we are is gracious, kind, and calm.
Gracious, kind and calm, Ey to nose, nose, the heart in a ruby red arc , Feet flat on the floor.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Gracious, kind and calm. Breathing beautifully, observing your breath and not controlling it so much of our life can be done for us.
So much of what we need can come to us without an effort.
Gracious kind and calm, we are at ease.
We are relaxed together, all of us as we do this exercise.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Gracious, kind and calm, at peace, at happy and forgiven for everything we've ever done.
Gracious, kind, and calm, at peace, forgiven.
In love with who we are in love with all the earth and everything on it, in love with the room or wherever we sit.
A body of love and kindness and good.
We are gracious, kind, and calm, a perfect love within us a bliss in every cell of our body and being.
Gracious, kind, and calm , Ey to nose, nose to heart, and a ruby red arc Feet flat on the floor.
Were grounded to the earth, to the floor wherever you sit .
Imagine your feet are flat on the earth, the physical earth.
Feet on the floor grounded like a rooted tree, secure , stable and firm eyes to nose, nose to heart in a ruby red arc, feet flat on the floor, grounded, secure , and firm.
Grounded and secure, we are strong in everything we are.
Strongly rooted to the earth, strongly here as ourselves, eyes to nose , nose to heart, feet to ground, gracious, kind, and and calm.
Gracious, kind, and calm.
We are forgiven and in love with everything we are, ever have been, ever well be.
We are in love with who we are right here and now. Here and now, eternal life in you in me, infinite good, and joy, and bliss We're happy and at peace, Ey to nose, nose to heart, and a ruby red arc, feet to ground.
Feet to ground were rooted, were stable, were firm as who we are on the earth, as ourselves here and now gracious, kind and calm, gracious, kind and calm. At peace, here and now, on earth in the room where you are, eyes to nose, nose to heart , in a ruby red arc, Feet flat on the floor.
Gracious, kind, and calm , gracious, kind, and calm at ease, observing our breath.
You may hear some noises in the house, in the building, wherever you are, and allow yourself to hear the noise.
Don't fight them.
Allow yourself yourself to hear the noise around you.
You have cease fighting, anything and any one, any noise you hear is nothing to oppose.
Simply hear it. And move on.
If you're distracted, that's okay.
The brain is designed to be what we would call distracted, but it's really a natural state of mind.
Our mind goes from here to there.
It is designed to be vigilant.
When you get distracted, have compassion for how your brain works .
Understand that your brain is trying to protect you in the world with vigilance, an awareness of what's going on around you.
We are gracious, kind, and calm, allowing life to flow, not fighting it, but knowing where we are and who we are and what there is to do.
Gracious, kind and calm.
Gracious kind and calm, eyes to nose, nose to heart , and a ruby red.
Ark, feet to ground.
We are secure, firm and strong, eyes to nose.
Nose to heart, and a ruby red. Arc.
Feet to ground.
Eyes to nose, n nose, to heart to a ruby red arc.
Feet to ground.
We are kind, secure, and calm.
We are kind.
Feel kindness in your body, in your heart.
Feel kindness in your brain.
Kindness is a consciousness.
Kindness is perhaps your deep and perfect self.
Inside you, as you are right now, kindness, love, and calm, kindness, peace, and calm Kindness, love, forgiveness, for everyone and everything we have ever known, Kindness, calm, and forgiveness, love and peace.
We are who we are right here and now.
There is no past, there is no future, just the present moment now where we are as you hear my words.
Gracious, kind, and calm, that is our soul alive in who we are.
Every cell of our body and brain is gracious, kind, and calm , full of love, full of good, full of grace, full of calm, gracious, kind, and calm.
Eyes to nose, nose to heart , feet flat on the ground.
Gracious, kind, and calm., gracious, kind, and calm observe your breathing throughout the day, not just now, when you're a little tense as the day goes on, just pause and think of the word words, gracious, kind, and calm, gracious, kind, and calm, relax, and follow your breath.
Observe how you breathe and never control it.
What we're ideally doing and what we're working towards is living in a perfect here and now , the immortal now, living in the perfect here and now on earth in our body, in our brains where we're a relaxed at ease, and life, for the most part is happening for us. .
We're not forcing a thing, we're not fighting or opposing.
The world, ourselves, or anyone else, gracious, kind, and calm.
Gracious, kind, and calm.
Now we'll bring this meditation to a close with your eyes still shut.
Bring your hands out before you in a prayer position, palms, palm to palm, like a little a child praying with their hands in a prayer position, palm to palm, and start to move your palms around in friction, rubbing each other gently.
Everything's gentle and easy.
Gently rub your hands around in a little circular motion, creating a little friction, and then bring your hands up to your face and just imagine you're giving your face a a facial or a bath of chi.
You're rubbing your face in ch.
You're rubbing your face in chi.
Around and around and then just with both hands patch your head in a circular motion.
Gently.
Not hard.
Gently.
Patch your head in circular motion around about three times.
And then with your hands in front of your face, spread your fingers apart, and then then just comb from the front of your scalp to the back through your hair, if you can.
Com from the front of your scalp through the back with your fingers about three times, and you don't have to get the numbers right.
Remember, we never do that.
We're not perfectionist.
That defeats the purpose.
So you're combing your hair and then bring your hands down to your lap .
Again, maybe feel how your feet connect to the floor.
Think just for a moment about the feeling of the exercise that we just did, the feeling of the exercise that we just knit did, not the specifics, the feeling, the calm, the ease.
The three words that we're going to take through the day.
Gracious, kind, and calm, were relaxed.
Just sit at peace for as long as you want.
Generally, we do meditations for about 20 minutes.
It can be a bit more, a bit less.
Again, we're never perfectionist in what we do here.
Just relax for a while.
When you're ready, open your eyes.
Open your eyes.
Allow yourself to see in a peaceful way, relaxed and kind, with open eyes, and whenever you're ready, stay at peace and stay at calm as long as you want in this sitting position with your feet on the floor.
When you're ready, get up and go about your day, but you can sit peacefully as long as you want for purposes of this exercise and the podcast will end this now and say goodbye to all of you who listen to this.
Gracious, kind and calm.
We're gracious, kind and calm as we go throughout the day, at peace, at ease, and in forgiveness for everything and every one.
That is all.
