What is the secret to immortality, you may ask.

What in the world?

Are you serious?

What are you even talking about?

Well, it's a catchy title, we hope, the secret of immortality.

It may have grabbed your attention with possibilities or kind of jolted you with its absurd and unlikely claim .

A history buff might ask, is this podcast giving directions to Pion's fountain of Youth in Florida?

A discerning listener might also ask, is this a ridiculous ad for anti-aging pills or memory enhancement treatment ?

Both good questions, but no, of course not.

The title of this podcast is serious. And chosen for good reason.

Above all, we're here to help you improve your life, adding joy, happiness, and freedom to day-to day existence .

In addition, we're here to help you remove the presence of death in your life, in your body, in your mind, in your em emotions, and more.

So how do we learn and grow?

How do we be our best and have a good life?

When accidents, hardship, and disease come forth, how do we handle these in a good way, in a productive way that adds to our life and doesn't further destroy it ?

Everything in life can be used as a benefit, even things that are absolutely not good at all.

In my own situation, I was badly injured in high school.

I took a poorly concocted street drug that that damaged my nervous system badly and left me with bone crushing anxiety .

The situation seemed insurmountable and far too painful to endure.

But I did endure, and slowly, day after day, year after year, I found solutions.

The discomfort of this medical condition, of this a was a motivating factor that led me to wisdom, strength, and hope I received that I never imagined possible.

If your life is a bit difficult, and everyone's is, if you've had some problems, there is a solution.

If you want purpose and meaning on a day-to-day basis, you can have it.

And we'll show you how to do that.

But let's first look at the problem, your own specific challenges and the larger problems of the world.

The biggest challenge is that we live in a creation of predation, all of us, where almost everything is hunting down something else to kill it and eat it.

And the most benign form, a cow grazes on grass in a more immediate and visceral reality , a killer whale chases down a baby seal.

And the biggest predator of all in our world is, unfortunately, the human being.

Again, everything and anything is hunting down another form of life, killing it and eating it most assuredly ending its life to continue its own.

So we live in this cockammy reality where everything is hunting down and killing everything else, even plants.

Trees and other plants will choke out other species competing with them.

Some trees will even choke out the same species if those young saplings are not not directly related to it.

The problem every person faces is that in a biological and physical creation of predation, we're always under attack..

Know it or not.

In some places, such as war torn nations, this is very obvious, with exploding bombs all around you.

And this was recently my own wife's experience, where she lives.

On a day to day basis, we may try to ignore the fact of predation and live in a type of denial, but we're all seeking safety.

We're all after food and sustenance.

We all need relationships, too, with other people to be happy and ensure a greater reality of safety in creating families, safety to create a family, if we can.

In some way or another, every form of life needs property, space, and land.

We need land to grow food and hunt .

Though we'd like to deny it and surely do, to survive, to have sanity, we'd like to deny it, but we're all competing with each other, even as humans, even in the same family.

We're all competing with other life forms for land , hunting, ground, and food.

And the competitors will kill you and eat you.

That's the real situation of this world of predation.

And we can undo this predation slowly, quickly.

We can change the nature of reality .

And our suggestion is that we in life forms choosing to kill and consume over the eons are responsible for what we have now.

Surely there are other worlds, other solar systems and galaxies where where predation probably doesn't even exist .

Things grow and become what they are and evolve and change without the ridiculous idea of killing each other to sustain your form of life.

With a secret to immortality , what we teach you is to sustain your life, yes, with food, and in shelter, but to find a greater life within yourself and a greater life in the world to find an immortal now or the core of you resides right here on Earth .

The core of us, we could also call it the soul, but we show you how to get to that special place, to sort of self-analyze with mindfulness, to slowly become aware of how are we creating what we have through denial or asserting our life without being kind sometimes, without being good.

We can always, even when we confront someone in a difficult situation, we can do that respectfully.

We don't have to be escalating all day long and getting people to back down.

We don't have to be in fear all day long.

Even in a world of predation, we don't have to be afraid.

We can learn to be stable, calm, and safe with ourselves.

We can learn to be kind, benevolent, and good in the world.

And as we do that, our life gets better.

Even today, it's so obvious if we go around getting in fights or acting rude or unkind or short- tempered , people react to us in the same way, and this is part of the secret to immortality.

It's so obvious immediately, but we forget it.

Life responds to us in the same way we are reacting to life.

Other people respond to us in the way we are reacting to them.

If we approach a situation with calm kindness and understanding of the other person, and you can do that, I promise, if we approach a situation with kindness and calm and understanding , people obviously react better.

And really, that's what customer service is all about.

A really great company has great customer service.

And what does a good customer service person do ?

They listen to you.

They try to understand you and they feed back to you the words and the thoughts and the comments that you gave forth.

A customer servicesperson cannot operate if they don't understand the complaint 

And we live in, I mean, the good thing about this creation is it gives back to us whatever we put into it.

If we put in to this world, into our brains and bodies, if we're putting in benevolence, kindness and love, we get that back .

Maybe not today, maybe not in an instant.

Maybe we've got to really work at it.

Maybe we're stuck in a situation where people aren't going to be kind and nice to us, particularly, but we can be kind and nice to ourselves and we can respond to those people without escalating a situation.

The world really does give back to us what we put into it.

And that's the secret to immortality.

The world gives to us what we put into it.

Again, the world gives to us what we put into it.

And we're talking here about the secret to immortality, which necessarily means confronting death and murder, aging, accident, and mayhem .

And what we suggest with a secret to immortality is that as we become more aware of how we're acting, of how we're reacting and responding to the world, as we become more aware of what we're putting in into the world, by how we choose to speak , act, and think.

What are we putting into the world, by how we speak, act and think?

I remember one time I was at some type of retreat about goodness, wellness, acting better in the world.

And outside of the conference room, one woman said to me, well, we can't control our thoughts, but we can control our actions.

I was thinking, of course, we can control our thoughts.

That's like the place where we start with all control that we have.

We start with how we think.

But this woman just really didn't think she could control her thoughts.

And my thought was, what a sad situation.

I didn't argue with her.

I didn't say anything differently because she was a very adamant and decided person in her mindset and would not have listened and it would led to this woman wanting to fight, because that's who who she was and how she acted.

But when we react with a closed mind and we want to fight and oppose anyone that says anything different to us, what are we doing?

With our creation that day?

What are we doing to our environment ?

When someone wants to fight with us and we respond by fighting back, we just create this loop of continuous and escalating fight.

These are simple concepts, but these concepts lead to have led us to a world of mayhem, death and disease, and we can think our way out of it.

We can act our way out of it physically, mentally, emotionally.

And there are three parts to the secret to immortality.

One part is mindfulness for immortality .

And it's not exactly mindfulness that you hear over the internet, other podcasts.

Everybody kind of has their own take on that and they think that they're right and you're wrong again.

How do we get to something that is as beautiful as mindfulness and have soak so many competing forms of that, even yoga, competing schools of yoga ?

And one person will argue that there are ways the right way, or they won't argue, but they'll just continue on that course of their way being the only way.

They won't argue.

They'll be soft, kind, and agreeable, but they'll totally disagree with you.

My point is this.

There aren't different types of yoga.

There's not different types of anything.

There's simpleply agreement and working together.

We can all get together and agree to move our bodies in advantageous ways, and we don't have to have competing schools, competing organizations, competing businesses, taking money, et cetera, et cetera.

That is all predation .

It is so absurd.

I'm talking about yoga because this time in the world, there are a lot of competing yoga schools in my country that aren't even teaching yoga, where no one has any mastery at all and there really isn't any respect or understandinging for what yoga really is .

These classes end up being just exercise classes, wanting your money.

And why do I emphasize money this instant?

Because that's a form of predation.

It's a form of cruelty and brutality, how we harm each other and how we keep death , disease, and calamity alive.

At some point, we have to step back and not be so materialistic.

We have to step back and think about a greater good within ourselves within the world and be concerned about everyone else.

The main thing with mindfulness for immortality, is to be mindful of how we're affecting other people with how we're speaking.

How are we affecting other people with our thinking?

How does our thinking affect other people?

Our thinking affects other people because the way we speak comes from how we're thinking.

The way we act comes from how we're thinking.

You know, thoughts really aren't separate from physical actions, from words.

None of these things are separate.

Our thoughts are our words, our physical actions aren't separate .

They're all physical actions.

Our thoughts are our chemical electric chemical electrical activities in our brain.

Our thoughts are physical things.

You can watch them.

Neuroscientists can observe our brain live and watch how we're thinking.

That thinking can lead to speaking.

That thinking can lead to physical activity.

Or that thinking can lead to no physical activity or no words.

But we are just one thing, I suggest, and that's the secret to immortality, the secret to knowing herself, the secret to getting personal power.

So the secret to immortality is three parts.

The first part is mindfulness for immortality, becoming aware of how you're thinking, how you're speaking and how you're acting, how that is affecting you, how that is affecting the world.

Are you having a benevolent impact?

And you can have a benevolent impact or are you having a harsh, unthinking, an uncaring impact?

Do you need to grow a bit ?

I sure do. Always do.

Do you need to grow and become more than you are?

Do you need more wisdom, more connection, more belonging with the world that we all do constantly.

I suggest that's how we evolve with benevolence.

We become more aware , more connected, more related in our consciousness, to everything, and love is the outcome of all that, of mindfulness for immortality, or a good mindfulness class.

I wasn't saying there aren't good mindfulness classes.

There are.

There aren't I wasn't saying there aren't good yoga classes.

There absolutely are .

But I was saying that when your primary aim or a large aim is to take other people's money so you can have more money than they have that gets us into a predation, into a predatory mindset, which we all have , and we can all feed into.

But the idea of mindfulness for immortality is not feeding into that neurology of predation in our brain and body, not feeding into that, and not triggering it all day long and competing harshly and wrongly with our fellow creatures, but instead, focusing, relax relaxing, feeling the good in ourselves, the calm, the peace, practicing peace and calm, greater and greater levels as you practice peace and calm, with mindfulness for immortality, you start to experience the goodness of your core self, the goodness of the core world, and you start to pull away from predation and a bit and move more towards a life of continual living, a life of heaven on earth.

And I suggest to you, you know, even in biblical stories, Adam and Eve, it sure looks to me like the story was, hey, you're all living in a wonderful heavenly place, but yourself will in your eagerness to have your own way at the exclusion of others created a bad place.

Same thing here.

With mindfulness for immortality, we look at how can we have a more benevolent impact ?

We never have to be perfect.

We just have to trend more towards life and the joy and perfection of life than in ending it.
